MUST QUALIFY FOR SC CLEARANCE
5V Tech are seeking a proactive and self-sufficient Buyer / Material Controller to join our client's team.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, from order placement to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Order Management: Own the entire purchase order lifecycle, from initiation to delivery and stock entry.
- Supplier Management: Build strong relationships with suppliers, resolve issues.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date item master data, ensuring smooth procurement processes.
- Supplier Onboarding: Efficiently onboard new suppliers, adhering tothe strict guidelines and procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the QA team to maintain high supplier quality standards and address issues promptly.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities to optimize stock holdings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, logistics, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with electronic assemblies and mechanical parts is preferred but not essential.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
- Commercial Acumen: The ability to negotiate favorable terms and defendthe company's commercial interests.
- Team Player: A positive and collaborative attitude, willing to contribute to a small, close-knit team.
