Senior Finance Officer - Local Authority - London
A Local Authority in London are looking to recruit a Senior Finance Officer on a Permanent Basis.

- Hybrid Working (couple of times a month in the office)
What does this role entail? Here is a very brief snapshot:
- Report to the VAT Accountant and support on a range of areas within Corporate Accountancy team
- Completion of the monthly CIS Returns and VAT claims
- Liaising with HMRC and addressing any VAT-related queries
- Monitoring and reporting on financial controls
- Support on completion of the annual Statement of Accounts and associated processes
- Completion of government and other statutory returns
- Balance sheet and other reconciliations
- Liaising with and providing information to internal and external audit as require
What are the essentials for this role?
- Any local government Corporate Accountancy experience is highly welcomed
- excellent communication skills and an exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- You need to be working within a finance team related role in a local authority or wider public sector or not for profit organisation environment as part of a Financial Accounting Team
