About the Role

Main Developer clients are after a Senior Technical Manager to join their UK Construction Team.

You will be someone with heavy experience working for a developer, managerial experience, and experience in managing multiple live sites simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have experience with both RC frames and traditional brick and block residential projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Effective Team Management: Leads and manages internal and external teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of coordinated construction packages.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Proactively manages building control and warranty conditions, ensuring smooth project delivery and adherence to company standards.
  • Design Optimization: Drives consistent design across projects, ensuring compliance with company standards, construction design guides, and specifications while considering building, marketing, and economic factors.
  • Quality Control and Inspections: Actively participates in QA inspections on site, ensuring compliance with approved details and departmental benchmarking procedures.
  • Team Development and Motivation: Motivates and develops staff to achieve optimal performance, fostering a culture of excellence and contributing to the company's goals.
  • Budget Management and Reporting: Meticulously manages technical fee budgets, invoicing, and cost reporting.
  • Quality Standards and Reputation: Establishes and enforces high-quality standards, upholding the company's reputation for excellence.
  • Industry Awareness: Stays abreast of current and emerging legislation, standards, and construction product innovations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Fosters strong working relationships with site staff, departments, building control, warranty providers, and stakeholders, promoting open communication and sharing best practices.

Qualifications And Skills:

  • Relevant Degree or diploma in industry related field, or working towards a degree.
  • Must have experience working for developers
  • Experience of managing the design team
  • Enthusiastic about construction, you're positive thrive on collaboration, and driven are key attributes
