An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and skilled interim Building Safety Project Manager to join a London Local Authority. As a Building Safety Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering the Building Safety Case Report Programme, contributing to the Council's commitment to building safety and excellence.
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and execute a comprehensive programme of consultant commissions across the borough to align with the Council's building safety objectives.
- Collaborate with the Programme Director to manage ongoing projects/programmes, ensuring adherence to corporate project management standards.
- Liaise with various Council departments to achieve Programme objectives and uphold the Team's corporate profile.
- Represent the Council in strategic partnerships and contribute to programme delivery efforts.
- Oversee the development and implementation of cross-cutting initiatives, including internal and external communication strategies.
- Manage promotional activities aimed at enhancing the visibility of the Councils projects regionally and nationally.
- Ensure realistic plans in terms of cost, time, and outputs, while maintaining efficient data collection, analysis, and sharing systems.
- Cultivate and nurture strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders, including Programme Boards, Government departments, and the building safety Regulator.
- Proven experience in project management, especially in complex and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Solid understanding of building safety regulations, procedures, and compliance.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data, make informed decisions, and contribute to continuous service improvements.
- Strong negotiation and partnership-building skills, with a track record of establishing strategic relationships.
- Proficiency in presenting reports to senior management and decision-making bodies.
