Shift Engineer
Enfield, North London

54,000 + Overtime

Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm / 2:30pm-11pm

Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying to all the major supermarkets online food delivery companies, wholesale and restaurant chains. They are looking for a multi-skilled shift engineer, to join their close-knit team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out both electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs on high-speed food production lines, packaging machinery, automation & control systems & associated equipment
  • Completing structured PPM's
  • Worked on motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, inverters, gearboxes, drives, bearings
  • PLC - electrical fault finding diagnostics
  • Ordering spares & parts
  • Continuous improvement and project work
  • Upkeep of engineering technical documentation

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Be a multi-skilled engineer - either electrical or mechanical biased
  • Must have completed a time-served-apprenticeship
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 as a minimum
  • Ideally worked in food manufacturing
  • Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & problem solving skills
  • Able to work on own initiative and sometime unsupervised
  • Must have worked in some for of manufacturing environment
  • Dealt with high-speed production lines and machinery
  • PLC - must be able to do electrical fault finding
  • Worked on hydraulics & pneumatics
  • Experience of working in a continuous improvement environment
