A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Male Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and inclusive school in Enfield. We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to provide tailored support to students and work closely with teachers to create a positive learning environment.
About the Role:As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development. You will work collaboratively with the class teacher to assist in lesson delivery, classroom management, and one-on-one support for students who require additional help.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-on-one or small group support for students, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN).
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Helping to manage student behavior and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting students in developing their social skills, confidence, and academic abilities.
- Working alongside teachers and other support staff to promote student engagement and wellbeing.
- Assisting with administrative tasks, such as preparing resources and setting up classroom equipment.
We are looking for a male Teaching Assistant who is:
- Caring and empathetic: You should be passionate about working with young people and committed to their development.
- A good communicator: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with teachers, students, and parents are essential.
- Patient and resilient: You should be able to handle challenging situations with a calm and positive approach.
- A team player: Collaboration with staff members is key to providing the best support for students.
- Previous experience working with children or young people (in a school or other relevant setting) is desirable.
- Experience supporting students with SEN or additional needs is advantageous.
- A passion for education and supporting the development of young people.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
