An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maths Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Enfield this February. You'll work closely with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students who need additional support in Maths, helping to boost their confidence and academic achievement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maths graduate, someone with Maths A-levels, or anyone passionate about inspiring young learners and starting a career in education.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Maths Support

    • Assist students in-class, provide one-to-one support, and lead small group sessions to boost Maths understanding.
  • Engaging with Students

    • Build rapport with learners, creating a positive and supportive environment that helps them thrive.
  • Mainstream Setting

    • Work collaboratively in a dynamic secondary school setting, supporting students with varied needs.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability

    • Assist with tailoring lessons and activities to suit the needs of individual students.
About the School:
  • Location: Enfield, easily accessible by bus or car, with parking available within a 10-minute walk.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am-4:00pm (TBC).
  • Ofsted: Rated "Good" and highly regarded in the local community.
  • Environment: Friendly and collaborative staff team, described as a fantastic place to work.
What We're Looking For:
  • A Maths Graduate or Equivalent: Applicants with Maths A-levels will also be considered.
  • Experience with Children: Experience in a classroom, as a tutor, or working with students with SEN is highly valued.
  • Strong Work Ethic: Enthusiastic, patient, and a positive role model.
  • Great Communication Skills: Able to engage with students, staff, and parents effectively.
  • Flexibility and Teamwork: Work collaboratively and adapt to the school's dynamic environment.

Requirements to Apply:
  • Qualifications: A graduate degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in Maths.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people is a bonus.
  • DBS: Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
  • Employment History: Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment where possible.
