Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Enfield. You will be working within the schools SEN unit which caters for a small number of students with complex needs. This is a full time, long-term role starting in January for the rest of the academic year.

They offer a broad and challenging curriculum for all. The school also has an additional resourced provision (ARP) for up to 12 students with complex needs.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for the below:

  • Supporting the teacher in delivering the curriculum
  • Assisting with the preparation of lesson plans and resources
  • Supporting individual pupils with their learning, behaviour and emotional literacy
  • Helping to manage overall behaviour in the classroom and wider school
  • Supporting the teacher in the assessment and reporting of pupil progress
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school

To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need :

  • TA or some form of child care experience
  • Knowledge of SEND
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
