We need you!

We are looking for a teaching assistant for a special educational needs (SEN) school in North London.

Working as a teaching assistant at this SEN school, you will be working with students with additional support needs (ASN), including autistic spectrum disorder (ASD).

Willingness to do personal care is preferred.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

  • Following an adapted curriculum to allow students the opportunity to thrive in post-education society.
  • Supporting students with opportunities to be successful and feel valued.
  • Aiding the teacher with lesson planning, delivery, and assessment.
  • Assisting with alternative teaching methods, for example, Lego Therapy or Sensory Integration Therapy.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

Teaching Assistant Requirements

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date and clear DBS.
  • A patient and supportive attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
