Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy company in the UK to recruit a Lead Controls and Instrumentation Project Engineer for its UK wide asset team.

The Lead C&I Project Engineer role comes with a starting salary of up to 84,000, private medical, and a bonus.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Asset Support & Outage Team Leader you will:
  • Lead and deliver projects and outages, identifying and managing stakeholders across the company, ensuring process and regularly compliance.
  • Undertake proactive and reactive work, including fault-finding, problem solving and investigations across a broad range of process plant and systems in support of performance against KPIs.
  • Have proven capabilities to lead project teams as required, dependant on project complexity.
  • Be responsible for defining scopes of work and developing technical and contract specifications.
  • Establish and delivery contractor Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
  • Actively promote a culture of health, safety, environmental and quality, seek improvements in these areas and actively contribute to their development.



Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
  • HND or degree in a relevant engineering subject i.e. Controls and Instrumentation Engineering (essential)
  • NEBOSH qualified (essential)
  • Experience managing projects and overseeing teams of engineers and contractors throughout the duration.
  • Experience with Functional Safety (IEC61508/61511) and Cyber Security for Industrial and Control Systems (OG86).
  • Willing to travel in the UK as required, can be based from home when not travelling.
