Field Manager - Job Role Summary

Safety & Compliance

  • Audit field activities to ensure Health & Safety practices are upheld consistently.
  • Foster a compliant Health & Safety culture, meeting all objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure vehicles are inspected daily for 100% compliance and address any on-site incidents.

Team Management & Development

  • Lead and support direct reports in recruitment, training, appraisals, attendance, and disciplinary matters.
  • Regularly conduct performance reviews and probation assessments.
  • Motivate team members, ensuring they understand commercial goals.

Quality & Service Delivery

  • Ensure all installations meet industry regulations and maintain high service quality.
  • Investigate customer complaints, vehicle or on-site incidents, and conduct regular quality checks.
  • Complete monthly van inspections and biweekly team briefings.

Field Supervision

  • Spend at least 4 days a week in the field with the team, checking compliance and conducting van checks.
  • Support engineers by carrying spare assets and consumables for site needs.
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure the team is fully equipped.

Operational Support

  • Update daily development boards, complete Return to Work forms, and track attendance.
  • Perform WIP audits bi-monthly and monitor ongoing sickness records.
  • Oversee new engineer inductions and offboard any leavers.

KPI & Compliance Monitoring

  • Ensure team KPIs are met, maintaining a 65% completion rate (50% for SE London).
  • Guarantee 100% compliance on IAuditor, track daily start times, and monitor timekeeping.
  • Analyze data to improve decision-making and drive team performance.
