Role:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to lead and develop a team of financial professionals while playing a strategic role in shaping the company’s future.

The ideal candidate will oversee the accounts function, collaborate with Senior Management and the Board of Directors, and manage the financial operations of the group. This role is based at our head office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all day-to-day accounting activities, including the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and overhead analysis.

  • Analyse the company’s financial performance, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and propose corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.

  • Prepare VAT returns and assist with corporation tax computations, ensuring compliance with HMRC and other regulatory bodies.

  • Review monthly payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payments of pensions and taxes, and handle the annual completion of P11Ds.

  • Support audits and ensure compliance with company financial policies and relevant regulations.

  • Respond to financial enquiries from employees and management.

Key Requirements:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience in a financial leadership role, with a strong track record of managing a comprehensive accounts function.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong understanding of financial principles and proficiency in accounting software.

  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 is advantageous.
