The company:

A small family ran construction company, focused on serving excellence in the residential and social housing sector. Due to growth, they are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join their team in Enfield.

Your role:

  • Administrative support on the Health & Safety team, compiling reports and updating records.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement risk mitigation measures.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety programs and policies.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and health & safety regulations.
  • Provide safety training and site-specific inductions to all employees and contractors.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and contractors to integrate health and safety considerations into all project stages.
  • Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance activities, and prepare regular reports on safety performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)
  • Proven experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry
