School Medical Welfare Assistant Needed ASAP!

We are urgently seeking a School Medical Welfare Assistant to provide immediate support at a vibrant and welcoming school. Location: EnfieldContract: Temporary, Sick CoverHours: 35 hours a week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first aid and medical support to students throughout the school day.
  • Maintain accurate records of student illnesses, injuries, and medication.
  • Support the school's medical policies and procedures, ensuring all health and safety regulations are met.
  • Assist with the administration of prescribed medication and medical equipment as needed.
  • Serve as the point of contact for parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student medical needs.
  • Help with the general welfare and emotional support of students when necessary.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a medical welfare or first aid role (within a school setting is a plus).
  • A valid first aid certificate (training can be provided if needed).
  • Strong communication skills and a caring, patient attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures is desirable.
