Due to high demand, we are currently recruiting Maths, Science, and Computer Science Graduate Teaching Assistants for full time, long term roles for a school in the in Boroughs across North and East London. Roles are full time, long term, and will be to start immediately.
Responsibilities for Graduate Teaching Assistant include:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting classroom learning.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, including those with SEN, helping to reinforce learning.
- Support the development of students' academic skills (including literacy and numeracy) and personal development, fostering social and emotional growth.
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare and organise teaching resources to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to track student progress and implement learning strategies.
About you:
- Educated to degree level in a STEM subject area
- Have previous experience within a school or other child related experience.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and a professional and friendly approach.
- Have knowledge and experience supporting children within special educational needs.
- School based experience preferred but not essential.
Ideally you will already have some experience working with young people, or you may be considering furthering your career in education as a teacher (desirable but not essential). Maybe you are taking a year out before doing your Masters or a PGCE?
