Job Scope:

We are looking to recruit a Domestic Assistant who will be a key part of our client’s commitment to maintaining exceptional standards of comfort and cleanliness in our client’s care homes. As a Domestic Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that residents, visitors, and families have a positive impression of our client’s care homes by keeping residents’ rooms and communal areas spotlessly clean and tidy. In addition to housekeeping duties, the role of Domestic Assistant includes laundry responsibilities to provide greater flexibility. You will work closely with the housekeeping team to maintain impeccable standards and meet Health and Safety Regulations.

This position is for a permanent contract with working days only, featuring shifts from 7am to 3pm and 10am to 6pm.

Do you have?

  • COSHH training and Current Accredited Infection Control Certificate or willingness to be trained
  • Additional infection control experience post Covid-19
  • Understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety in the workplace, or a willingness to be trained
  • GCSE qualifications or NVQ Level 1
  • Cleaning experience in a similar environment with a commitment to achieving high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Understanding of the challenges and sensitivity required to support vulnerable people
