Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of those facing homelessness? We are looking for a dedicated Homeless Housing Coordinator to join our clients Homeless Families & Singles Team. This role will be critical in providing expert homelessness casework and support to individuals and families at risk of losing their homes.


The Role
路Deliver high-quality, person-centred housing advice and homelessness casework to prevent homelessness or help clients move into suitable private rented accommodation.
路Develop and manage tailored Personal Housing Plans (PHP) for clients, ensuring compliance with the Homelessness Reduction Act.
路Work closely with internal and external partners, including solicitors, courts, and community organisations, to support clients and challenge evictions.
路Attend court and represent the council in homelessness-related cases.
路Coordinate services to assist clients in accessing the support they need, including safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
路Contribute to reducing the number of households in temporary accommodation by helping them resolve housing challenges.

The Ideal Candidate
路Strong background in homelessness casework, including attending court and dealing with complex housing cases.
路聽In-depth understanding of the Homelessness Reduction Act, welfare, housing policies, safeguarding, and related legislation.
路Excellent customer service skills with a track record of supporting vulnerable clients and delivering results under pressure.
路Ability to work collaboratively with various partners, including legal teams, health services, and housing organisations, to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
路Passionate about preventing homelessness and safeguarding those at risk, with a drive to constantly improve service delivery.
