Role: Logistics Co-ordinator

Salary £27,040 (£13ph)

Our client is seeking a Logistics Co-ordinator to join their team. You will be responsible for all activities in and out of the distribution centre. Ensuring all deliveries are checked and processed correctly.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain delivery report of all deliveries in and out
  • Notify stores of deliveries out and departments of deliveries in
  • Consolidating and preparing deliveries ready for loading or collection
  • Dealing with all couriers and deliveries
  • Checking deliveries and notifying the relevant staff or storing them within the agreed time frames
  • Report all damages and failed deliveries
  • Ensure vans are loaded on time and accurately
  • Ensuring a clean, tidy and safe work environment
  • Ensure the DC, as well as yourself, are adhering to all Health & Safety, Quality, Security and Environmental compliance standards

Key skills:

  • Warehouse experience within a FMCG environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Able to use own initiative and demonstrate a common sense approach to duties
  • Continuously looking for improvements (ideally Lean 5s)
  • Computer Literate, intermediate level of Excel
  • Good understanding of all H&S issues relevant to a Warehouse environment

This role is 40hrs Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work when required.
