First Achieve's Engineering Division are hiring for a Plant Fitter for their client who are a leading supplier of concrete with all-in one solutions for customers across the UK.

The Plant Fitter will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of various plant machinery and equipment. This includes diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all machinery is safe and operational. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, a thorough understanding of plant machinery, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Up to £22/hr, 40hr week, Mon-Fri.

The Role:

  • Perform regular maintenance on plant machinery and equipment to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in plant machinery.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new plant machinery and equipment.
  • Provide technical support to operational teams to ensure machinery is functioning correctly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring that work is carried out safely and that machinery is safe to operate.

Successful Candidate:

  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
  • Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Maintenance Technician, or similar role in an industrial or construction environment.
  • Experience with a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, cranes, generators, and more.
