Controls Engineer

Days Monday to Friday (8 hours)

£60,000 - £65,000

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Controls Engineer to join a large FMCG organisation on a permanent basis. The successful Controls Engineer will be responsible for delivering automation improvement solutions and finding and rectifying faults on plc-controlled equipment and networks. You will work alongside of a highly skilled and well-established engineering team and complete continuous improvement projects to increase plant efficiency, reduce downtime and save energy and associated costs.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CONTROLS ENGINEER:

  • Strong electrical bias
  • Strong controls experience and understanding
  • Experience of software development and programming languages including ladder logic
  • Experience in fault finding and maintaining existing control systems, preferably with Allen Bradley (Rockwell) platforms (RSLogix500, Logix5000 etc.)
  • Experience of software development and programming languages including ladder logic
  • Formal electrical automation training with an awareness of process and mechanical engineering
