Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons for KS1 students in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all students feel supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to support student development and well-being.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and staff meetings.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safeguarding, health, and safety, ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching within KS1.
  • A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and the ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Desirable:
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Familiarity with phonics teaching and early literacy development.
