Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons for KS2 students, ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to create a supportive learning environment and encourage pupil development.
  • Promote positive behaviour management, ensuring a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including involvement in school events, staff meetings, and extracurricular activities.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety practices are consistently followed in line with school policies.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching within KS2.
  • A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, including assessment requirements and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to creating a nurturing and challenging learning environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons.
Desirable:
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • A background in delivering or coordinating extracurricular activities.
