A vacancy has become available for an experienced SEND Teacher to join a high-achieving Primary Academy in Enfield with an immediate start.
The Role
In this SEND Teacher role, you will be teaching a class of 11 pupils all with a high-level of special educational needs. The children vary in age and ability but have similar requirements in regards to developing their communication, social and emotional skills and require support to access learning activities. You will be required to plan and prepare learning and development activities. There are three learning support assistants in the class to support students.
You will be required to plan and prepare learning and development activities following the SCERTS programme. There are three learning support assistants in the class to support students and assist with learning and development activities.
The school are looking for a SEND Teacher with the following;
- QTS or an equivalent qualification
- previous experience within a Special Educational Needs school
- experience planning and teaching students with Autism, ADHD and communication/language needs.
- Knowledge of SCERTS approach (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support)
This SEND Teacher role is to start ASAP and is offered on a full-time, ongoing contract basis

This 3-form entry primary school is part of a larger all-through academy based in Enfield. The primary school opened in 2013 and now is a popular choice for families in the local community. The school employs a curriculum that enables all to make rapid academic progress across a range of subject areas with an emphasis on reading, writing and numeracy.
