Key Account Manager

OA is seeking a proactive and commercially astute Key Account Manager to engage with pharmacy multiples and buying groups across the UK. This role will involve both office-based market research and outreach (75%) as well as field sales (25%) nationally, with the objective of securing product listings and fostering long-term relationships within the pharmacy sector.

Location: Enfield. Office-based with UK-wide travel for face-to-face meetings

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (flexible hours), totalling a 40-hour work week.

Salary: £35,000 base salary, with an OTE of £50,000 – bonus paid annually.

Key Account Manager- Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and contacting pharmacy groups that own six or more pharmacies, including major national multiples and smaller regional groups.
  • Scheduling initial phone calls to introduce our products, with a view to securing face-to-face meetings.
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive database of national and regional pharmacy groups.
  • Managing and growing existing client accounts.
  • Conducting market research to identify opportunities for product listings and business growth.
  • Ensuring the database is regularly updated with accurate client information and sales activity.
  • Strategically adapting to the evolving pharmacy sector to maximise opportunities.

Key Account Managers – Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow key accounts, particularly within the pharmacy sector.
  • Experience in field sales and business development, preferably within pharmaceuticals or healthcare.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a dynamic sales team.
