About the Role:You will teach Design and Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. The role includes planning and delivering lessons that encompass various disciplines, such as Product Design, Graphics, Resistant Materials, or Textiles, while fostering a love for innovation and practical learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Design and Technology.
- Inspire and challenge students to develop technical and creative skills.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to ensure achievement.
- Promote safe working practices in the classroom and workshop settings.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share innovative teaching resources.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as clubs and competitions, to enrich the student experience.
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Design and Technology, or a related field.
- Strong subject knowledge in one or more areas of Design and Technology.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- A passion for teaching and inspiring young minds.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration.
