A SEMH Secondary School in Enfield are looking for a qualified and experienced SENCO to join their school on a full-time basis with an immediate start.

The Role

As the SENCO you will join the senior leadership team to proactively support inclusion for all students and carry out line management of the Assistant SENCO. Pupils at the school will have the primary need of SEMH, however, will also have Autism, ADHD, ASC and ASD. 

You will report to the Headteacher and will also work in collaboration with the Head and Behaviour Lead, as well as the Speech & Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Child Therapists.

Your role will include:

  • Reviewing EHCPs and leading annual reviews
  • Updating the school’s SEND record of need and making sure that there are appropriate records all pupil's progress and needs.
  • Providing support for existing teachers with curriculum, planning and quality 1st teaching to improve outcome for pupils
  • Communications with parents, outside agencies and support teams as required
  • Organising training for staff so they are aware and confident about how to meet the needs of pupils within the school.

This SENCO role is offered on a full-time basis. 

To apply for this position, you must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience working with children with SEND / SEMH or in a PRU setting and be fully qualified.

This SEMH Secondary School are experienced in providing schooling for young people from 11- 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
