Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of those facing housing difficulties? My client is looking for a committed and proactive Housing Options Visiting Officer to join their dedicated Housing Advisory Service team. This role is essential in delivering effective frontline support to residents facing homelessness. You will conduct on-site visits across the borough to assess housing needs in line with statutory duties under Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996.

For this role you will require a Drivers License and access to a car.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting home and site visits to verify housing circumstances.

  • Completing assessments under Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996.

  • Gathering and evaluating evidence to support homelessness applications.

  • Engaging with residents in a sensitive and professional manner.

  • Liaising with internal teams and external agencies to support applicants.

  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely case progression.

  • Working independently and managing a varied caseload.
