Specialist Resettlement coordinator

Enfield

The Specialist Resettlement Housing Coordinator will provide specialist casework to single homeless applicants leaving institutions, such as hospitals and prisons, and with complex support needs.

You must have expert knowledge of welfare, housing and homelessness policy, legislation, and practice as well as specialist knowledge surrounding the complex needs of single homeless applicants. You should also have knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults.

The main responsibilities of the Resettlement Housing Coordinator will include:

  • To provide excellent customer service to homeless applicants and key partners.
  • To provide specialist homelessness casework to single applicants with complex support needs leaving institutions, ensuring that all aspects of casework are carried out in accordance with legislation, strategies, policies and initiatives set out at the national, regional and local level - through effective and regular case work supervision, advice, guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve outcomes for single homeless applicants with complex needs and housing needs.
  • Contribute to embedding safeguarding best practice across the wider Housing Advisory Service.
  • Contribute to the development of the Homeless Casework Service and wider Housing Advisory Service.
