Review Officer - Housing

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Reviews Officer (Housing) for a Local Authority Client based in North London.

In this role, you will apply your housing law knowledge to conduct in-depth investigations, make well-informed decisions, and independently manage a diverse caseload with accuracy and efficiency.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

• Conduct comprehensive enquiries and make sound decisions in accordance with housing law.
• Handle review requests under section 202 of the Housing Act with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Independently manage a caseload, prioritising and organising work to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for each case, maintaining accurate records.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Demonstrated experience working as a Review Officer, specifically within a housing department in a local authority.
• Strong understanding of housing law, particularly the Housing Act and section 202 review processes.
• Experience managing a caseload independently, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.

What's on offer:

Salary: £24+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week - attendance in the office will be very occasional
