- Monitor school attendance and follow up with appropriate actions for persistent absenteeism.
- Conduct home visits as required, working closely with families to address issues affecting attendance.
- Collaborate with schools, other agencies, and services to provide holistic support for vulnerable children and families.
- Work independently to manage your caseload, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Attend meetings and contribute to multi-agency support planning for vulnerable families.
- Keep up to date with legislation and best practices regarding school attendance.
- Previous experience as an Educational Welfare Officer or School Attendance
- Enhanced DBS
- Ability to travel across the borough carrying out home visits where necessary, visiting schools, and attending meetings
