Responsibilities include:
- Conduct thorough assessments under the Children Act to identify and address safeguarding concerns and ensure children's needs are met.
- Prepare detailed reports that accurately reflect assessment findings, case updates, and recommended interventions.
- Chair Looked After Children (LAC) reviews, ensuring that care plans are responsive to each child's current and future developmental needs.
- Maintain a strong understanding of mental health factors and their impact on child development, applying this knowledge in assessments and intervention planning.
- Manage complex cases with heightened safeguarding risks, using a nuanced approach to address varied and challenging needs.
Requirements:
- 3 years experience post-qualification
- Previous management experience working within child safeguarding services
- Skills of multi-agency working, developing child focused CP plans, understanding of dispute resolution and escalation process and challenging professional agencies.
