Job Title: Youth Justice OfficerLocation: Enfield (Hybrid Working Available)Contract Type: TemporaryRate: £24.25 per hour (PAYE) £30.11 (Umbrella)Hours: Full-TimeStart Date: ASAPService Care Solutions are currently working with Enfield Youth Justice Service, a forward-thinking partnership aiming for excellence, to recruit experienced and committed Youth Justice Officers.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing, multi-disciplinary service focused on safeguarding young people and managing risk to the wider community. The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge base, excellent communication skills, and at least two years' experience working within Youth Justice.Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete high-quality assessments using AssetPlus
  • Write Pre-Sentence Reports (PSRs), Referral Order and Breach reports
  • Deliver effective, sequenced interventions to reduce the risk of reoffending
  • Manage risk of harm to self and others
  • Safeguard vulnerable young people in line with legislation and policy
  • Liaise with multi-agency teams and contribute to case planning
  • Work flexibly, including occasional weekends and unsocial hours
Essential Criteria:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ Youth Justice experience (applications without this will not be considered)
  • Proven experience in delivering youth justice interventions and assessments
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and offending behaviour
  • Ability to write clear and structured statutory reports
  • Commitment to partnership working across agencies and disciplines
  • Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills

  • This role is subject to a rigorous interview process
  • Hybrid working available (subject to service needs)

  • Enhanced DBS required
