SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary - Secondary

Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across a range of ages? We are looking for a dedicated and flexible SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children from Early Years through to Key Stage 4 in a supportive and welcoming school in Enfield.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group support to students with diverse SEN requirements, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
  • Work with students across different year groups, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, ensuring all students are able to access the curriculum.
  • Implement and support Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work closely with the SENCO to ensure each student receives the appropriate care.
  • Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Facilitate a positive learning environment where all pupils feel included and valued.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with children with SEN, ideally across multiple age groups (desirable but not essential).
  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude, with the ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and the wider school team.
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to working in a dynamic school environment.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting pupil welfare.
