SEND Teaching Assistant - Enfield

We are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school on a full time basis to work in their SEND department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to students with SEND while also being capable of covering lessons during teacher absences. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 4.00pm. ?

A specialist school providing high-quality, therapeutic and child-centred education for pupils aged from 11 to 17 years in Enfield.

The school focuses on a wide range of backgrounds, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people aged 11-16.
  • Confidence in managing a class of up to 30 students when required.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the school.
  • A friendly yet firm approach to foster positive student engagement.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for making a difference in young people's lives.
