The Role:- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN Unit).
- Salary: £80-£100 per day, based on experience.
- Start Date: Immediate.
- Location: Enfield, North London.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work within a specialist unit attached to a mainstream school, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs to help them achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:- Provide individual and small group support to children with SEN.
- Use structured interventions and sensory strategies to support learning.
- Assist with speech, language, and communication development.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and the SENCO to implement tailored learning plans.
- Help maintain a calm, safe, and structured learning environment.
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, preferably in an SEN unit.
- Understanding of ASD, ADHD, and SEMH strategies.
- A calm, patient, and positive approach to supporting children.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience with PECS, Makaton, or sensory learning approaches is beneficial but not essential.
