The Role:- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN Unit).
- Salary: £80-£100 per day, depending on experience.
- Location: Enfield, North London.
- Start Date: Immediate.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support children with ASD, speech & language difficulties, and sensory needs, helping them access learning in a way that works for them.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 and small group support in a specialist SEN unit attached to the main school.
- Use structured interventions, visual schedules, and sensory activities to help pupils engage.
- Assist with social skills development and behaviour management strategies.
- Work alongside teachers, therapists, and the SENCO to deliver personalised learning plans.
- Foster a calm, structured, and engaging learning environment.
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role.
- An empathetic and patient approach to working with children with SEN.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with speech & language support, sensory strategies, or behaviour management is an advantage.
- Specialist Training & Support: Work in a setting designed to meet SEN pupils' needs.
- Experienced SEN Team: Collaborate with a well-established inclusion department.
