About the School:
We are a dynamic and inclusive 3-form entry school in Edmonton, committed to supporting children with special educational needs to help them thrive in an engaging and supportive learning environment. We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis, with an immediate start on the 4th of November.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN
- Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment
- Implement personalised learning strategies and support children's development and progress
- Manage behavior effectively, using a positive and proactive approach
- Engage with students, encouraging independence and confidence in the classroom
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting
- A valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and support colleagues
