The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can fully engage with learning in a variety of primary schools across Enfield.

Responsibilities:
  • Support children with ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties in mainstream or SEN settings.
  • Help to implement individual learning plans to support pupil progress.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt teaching materials and strategies.
  • Build confidence, resilience, and independence in pupils with additional needs.
  • Adapt quickly to different school settings, bringing a proactive and flexible approach.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with additional needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with pupils.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An interest in SEN strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or sensory learning techniques (beneficial but not essential).
  • A flexible mindset, ready to work across different schools in Enfield.
