Veritas Education are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant interested in a long term role in Enfield, North London. This SEN Teaching Assistant position is in a secondary school, supporting pupils with additional needs within a mainstream enviornment. Your SEN experience may of come from a maisntream setting or a SEN provision, having worked as a SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker or similar. This is a long term SEN Teaching Assistant role until the end of the academic year, with the likelihood of continuing on in September. Experience with school aged children is essential, but this coud be in a formal or informal setting. As long as you are proactive and keen to make a difference to the lives of children with SEN, this role could be a great fir for you.

This position is in an OFSTED 'Good' secondary school in Enfield, North London. The school is friendly and supportive, with a focus on pastoral care and supporting every student fully. They invest in and value their SEN department, and you would be joining a team of people who care about their students. The school has good trasnport links and parking available.

What we are looking fot:

  • Previous experience working in an SEN role, preferably within a school setting.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Strong understanding of various Special Educational Needs and associated support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting the diverse needs of students.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential).
