This role is perfect for someone passionate about working with children with challenging behaviour and special educational needs, including ASD. As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll work in small groups or one-on-one with pupils who require additional support to reach their potential.

Your Role as a Behaviour Mentor:

• Work closely with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, supporting children with challenging behaviours and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
• Support students with ASD and other additional needs, using strategies to help them engage positively with their learning.
• Implement behaviour support plans and personalised strategies, working alongside teachers and SEN staff to create an inclusive and supportive environment.
• Act as a positive role model, promoting social skills, resilience, and self-regulation to help pupils manage their behaviours and succeed in school.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and classroom teachers, adapting approaches to meet individual needs effectively.

What We're Looking For in a Behaviour Mentor:

• Experience working with children with challenging behaviours or special educational needs, such as ASD.
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach to handling challenging situations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
