This role provides a unique opportunity to work hands-on with KS3 and KS4 students, supporting their academic, social, and personal development. You'll play a vital role in helping students overcome challenges and thrive in a supportive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities- Classroom Support: Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, ensuring all students receive the assistance they need.
- One-to-One & Group Support: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
- Resource Management: Prepare and organise materials to enhance learning experiences.
- Student Progress: Monitor and record student achievements, contributing to assessments and feedback reports.
- Extracurricular Activities: Assist in planning and running clubs, workshops, and school trips to enrich students' experiences.
- Experience: Previous experience in roles such as Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Youth Worker, Sports Coach, or Support Worker, ideally with SEN students.
- Passion for Education: A strong commitment to supporting and inspiring young people.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage and motivate students.
- Teamwork: A collaborative mindset to work closely with staff and students.
- Bonus Skills: Experience in mentoring, tutoring, or teaching is an advantage but not required.
