About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? If so, this is your chance to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Enfield as an SEN Support Worker.

This role provides a unique opportunity to work hands-on with KS3 and KS4 students, supporting their academic, social, and personal development. You'll play a vital role in helping students overcome challenges and thrive in a supportive and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, ensuring all students receive the assistance they need.
  • One-to-One & Group Support: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
  • Resource Management: Prepare and organise materials to enhance learning experiences.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and record student achievements, contributing to assessments and feedback reports.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Assist in planning and running clubs, workshops, and school trips to enrich students' experiences.
About You
  • Experience: Previous experience in roles such as Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Youth Worker, Sports Coach, or Support Worker, ideally with SEN students.
  • Passion for Education: A strong commitment to supporting and inspiring young people.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage and motivate students.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative mindset to work closely with staff and students.
  • Bonus Skills: Experience in mentoring, tutoring, or teaching is an advantage but not required.
