Our specialist institution is dedicated to providing exceptional education to children and young people aged 11-19 with autism. We strive to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where each student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our team is committed to delivering personalized education and support to ensure our students achieve their fullest potential.

We are seeking to appoint three enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teachers to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who have a passion for working with young people with autism.


SEN Teacher - Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons 
Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) 
Monitor and assess students' progress
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment 
Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage and motivate students.
Work collaboratively with other staff members 
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and external professionals 
Participate in ongoing professional development 


SEN Teacher - Qualifications and Experience:
MUST have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 
Proven skills and abilities in working with young people with autism, or a strong commitment to developing these skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take on challenges
Experience with specific autism strategies and interventions

We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. You will have a safeguarding responsibility if appointed in this SEN Teacher role.
The successful SEN Teacher will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and employment will be subject to references. 
This SEN Teacher post is not exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
