Are you a specialist SEND Teacher with experience supporting Autistic pupils? Are you looking for a new role?
A vacancy has become available for an experienced SEND Teacher to join a well-resourced additionally resourced provision within a College. The College has a Speech and Language Base for students with an EHCP as well as a diagnosis with Developmental Language Disorder with a maximum of 10 students in the base.
The school
This Additional Resource Provision is based within a mainstream College and offers a dynamic and specialised learning environment for students with an EHCP with DLD. Teaching is based on the Attention Autism Approach to engage and motivate learners. The school has an inclusive approach and where suitable individual learners will access activities within the main school and to help promote independence and social skills.
The provision uses a collaborative approach between staff and parents to support pupils with a range of opportunities to get parents involved in learning and social events within the ARP.
The Role
As the SEND Teacher you will be the main class teacher. You will have a comprehensive knowledge, understanding and experience of working with children with DLD and Autistic Spectrum Disorder from previous roles and have a true passion for supporting pupils to succeed in all areas of learning.
There is an experienced team of teachers and support staff within the provision and you will have access to a range of training and collaboration to develop your teaching practice. You will also be supported by external agencies within Enfield.

- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching Autistic Spectrum Disorder pupils and DLD
- Experience in all or some of the following: Attention Autism, TEACCH, Makaton, Pecs
