Hire Controller

Hire controller required for a provider of a leading provider for plant and tool hire equipment across London for a depot based in Enfield. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the hire of plant and equipment, ensuring smooth operations, and providing excellent customer service. The candidate must have previous experience using the hire software of the following; Point of Rental or Syrinx Hire or Hire Concept software.

• Dealing with customers and hiring of plant and tools both face to face over the trade counter and email / phone enquiries.
• Using electronic payment systems and dealing with website enquiries.
• Managing incoming hire enquiries via phone and email.
• Processing hires contracts, off-hires, and exchanges using Hire Concept or Syrinx software.
• Coordinating deliveries and collections with the transport team.
• Building strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Providing quotes and advising customers on the best hire solutions for their needs.
• Ensuring all paperwork and system records are accurate and up to date.
• Working closely with the workshop team to manage equipment availability.
• Handling customer queries and resolving issues efficiently.

• Previous experience in a similar role essential.
• Experience from a hire background would be beneficial but not essential.
• It is essential the candidate has experience using the following software.
• Commutable distance to the depot in Enfield.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

• £30,000-£33,000 salary dependant on experience.
• 7:30-5:00 Monday-Friday
• Pension
• 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
• Ongoing training with routes to progression with the business.
• Christmas and summer party social events.
