Job Title: Night Shift Vehicle Paint Sprayer

Reporting to: Preparation Manager

Department: Vehicle Preparation

We have an opportunity for an experienced Automotive Car Sprayer to join our new Car Supermarket’s in-house Bodywork team in Watford (stocking 500+ used cars).

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience within a busy automotive body repair workshop. They will work to a high standard and demonstrate a sound, up-to-date knowledge of spray painting technology, paint composition and mixing.

What will you be doing?

  • Ensure all station operations on each car are completed to the required quality standard
  • Completion of jobs to the required timescale and minimising costs where possible
  • Prepare your paint spraying equipment ready for daily use
  • Carry out repairs correctly first time for maximum customer satisfaction
  • Prepare and paint relevant areas of cars, ensuring a good colour match
  • Apply primer and finish coats using spray guns, rubbing down surfaces between coats. Touch up paintwork and apply polish to vehicles
  • Report any defective items that were not covered by the original job sheet to your Preparation Manager

What do you need for this role?

  • Be comfortable with carrying out bodywork repairs
  • Experience in prepping, repairing and refurbishing any damage that has occurred to vehicles including medium to large scratches and scuffs
  • Understand and comply with health and safety standards
  • A full and valid Driving Licence

It will be a bonus if you had experience in:

  • Repairing dents and windscreen chips
  • Upholstery repair, leather reconditioning/recolouring
  • Alloy wheel refurbishments

The Package

  • Basic Salary: £35,000 to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)

  • Monday to Thursday: 18:00 - 06:00
