We are currently recruiting for proactive, empathetic and passionate Teaching Assistants to work in a special educational needs provision for secondary pupils with autism in Odd Down - Bath (BA2)
This is the perfect role for someone looking to build a fulfilling career in education and support students with diverse learning needs.
- Start September 2025
- 90 - 125 per day, depending on experience
- Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4pm
- Term time only
- Bath - BA2, easily accessible by public transport
About the Secondary Teaching Assistant role
- Provide extra support to students who all have a diagnosis of Autism
- Working under the direction of teaching staff to deliver and adapt learning activities for pupils one to one or in small groups
- Supervise pupils during break periods
- Build positive relationships with students to promote their academic success and emotional well-being
- Encourage students to develop self-confidence, resilience, and independence
The right candidate
- Maths and English GCSE (Grade A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent
- Extensive prior experience within an education establishment as a learning support assistant, teaching assistant, unqualified teacher etc
- Possess good behaviour management skills and remain calm under pressure.
- Be confident with ICT skills, particularly Microsoft packages
