Lubrication Technician

We are seeking a Lubrication Technician to join our maintenance team, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment within our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing scheduled lubrication maintenance activities, conducting inspections, and carrying out tasks to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Experience in a similar manufacturing role would be ideal, however relevant experience with farming equipment or other relevant experience in a different environment will be considered.

Day to day of the role:
  • Apply lubricants to moving parts such as bearings, motors, and chains to prevent wear and ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Replace air and oil filters as required.
  • Service gearboxes and collect oil samples for lab analysis.
  • Top up oil reserves and change oil, cleaning out oil reserves during shutdowns or planned stops.
  • Perform routine checks on Pemac and maintain control of the oil store inventory.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations in the workplace.
  • Demonstrate a flexible attitude, willingness to upskill, and continuously improve operations.
  • Implement 5S (Lean) principles throughout the site.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to maintenance with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to achieve targets and prioritise workload.
  • Meet the physical and health requirements of the role.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Forklift experience is desirable.
