We are now looking for an experienced Bid Writer to join our head office in Epping and support our growing portfolio of refurbishment and social housing contracts.

Role Overview:
As a Bid Writer, you will be a key member of our bid team, responsible for preparing and submitting high-quality, winning proposals for refurbishment and social housing contracts. You will work closely with our project teams, estimators, and senior management to craft compelling bids that showcase our capabilities and align with client requirements. Your role will be crucial in helping us secure new business and expand our presence in the competitive construction market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the bid team to produce high-quality, compelling, and tailored bids and tender submissions.
  • Coordinate and gather all necessary information from internal teams, including technical specifications, project timelines, and costings.
  • Write clear, concise, and persuasive content that highlights the company's strengths, experience, and unique selling points.
  • Ensure all bid documents meet client requirements and are submitted on time.
  • Review and analyze tender documents to understand key requirements and evaluate risks.
  • Liaise with senior management and project teams to ensure alignment and consistency in bid responses.
  • Help to develop and maintain a library of bid content, including case studies, templates, and project histories.
  • Assist in post-bid activities, including clarification requests and presentations to clients when required.
  • Monitor and track tendering opportunities and assist in strategizing for upcoming projects.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven experience as a Bid Writer, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Experience in writing bids for refurbishment and social housing contracts is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and persuasive content.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the construction sector, particularly in social housing refurbishment, and understanding of the tendering process.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with various departments.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and handle the pressure of multiple tenders.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in construction, business, or related field would be advantageous.
