Reed Finance are partnering with an ambitious SME who are seeking an ambitious senior finance professional. This role is ideal for an up-and-coming finance leader who possesses the ability to partner effectively with Directors and senior stakeholders, as well as manage the finance team with excellence. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the financial strategy and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Oversee the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and robust controls.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies in line with the company’s goals.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and business growth.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to drive business performance and profitability.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Work closely with auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
  • Develop and manage financial systems/models that help to predict future financial performance.
  • Mentor and develop the finance team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior financial managerial position with a track record of success.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and team members alike.
  • Robust understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Strategic thinking with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
