An established law firm in Epping is looking for a dedicated Legal Secretary to support their busy Property Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional team, assisting in the smooth running of property transactions and providing essential administrative support.
Role Details:
- Provide general secretarial support to the Property team (one fee earner and one experienced secretary!)
- Key tasks include:
- Typing and drafting correspondence, documents, and reports
- Managing and organising case files and documents
- Preparing and formatting legal documentation
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, and other professionals
- Managing client appointments and meetings
- Organising and maintaining the filing system
- Assisting with property transaction procedures, including completion and exchange
- Handling phone calls, messages, and queries efficiently
- Performing general administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within property law (2-3 years)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software (experience with case management systems is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy workload
- Professional and proactive approach to client care
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
