An established law firm in Epping is looking for a dedicated Legal Secretary to support their busy Property Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional team, assisting in the smooth running of property transactions and providing essential administrative support.

Role Details:

  • Provide general secretarial support to the Property team (one fee earner and one experienced secretary!)
  • Key tasks include:
    • Typing and drafting correspondence, documents, and reports
    • Managing and organising case files and documents
    • Preparing and formatting legal documentation
    • Liaising with clients, estate agents, and other professionals
    • Managing client appointments and meetings
    • Organising and maintaining the filing system
    • Assisting with property transaction procedures, including completion and exchange
    • Handling phone calls, messages, and queries efficiently
    • Performing general administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within property law (2-3 years)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software (experience with case management systems is a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy workload
  • Professional and proactive approach to client care
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude
